i took pieces from different types of magazine to create my digital draft.

double page spread and context page conventions

 this is not my genre of music magazine because this is pop. however, i like the use of a close up image then the use of a long shot in the other page, it brake up the second page so its not just all text.

the black background contrasts with the image making her stand out. the colour scheme is the same throughout, everything in red is the most important text.

This is one of my main inspirations because of instead the image staking up all the space, the quote but also title take up most of the room. this is effective because it grabs attention, and means the page isnt filled with boring text. the font makes the text more edgy, reflecting the 'indi' theme of the magazine.

Planning 

• deeper research into similar products and a potential target audience, more pictures of other magazines, what gave me ideas for my photos, NME Q
• do a post about props actors, locations and costumes.
•  comment on shot types, why i took them, influences, hat type of shot it is  
• better time managment

Construction

• manipulate photographs not just one, play around with other see what fits best. get people to vote on what image looks best, for example the teacher chose a different image that looked best.
